I used to work in a night club during my late teens and twenties, called the Hip-e Club, during the 90s and 00s. After I heard this song, it was the only one I requested off the dj on regular occasions. Never could I remember who sang it, or what the title was, no matter how many times he told me. It´s similar to the famous and much appreciated Brazilian "saudage", the melancholy that you can hear in most Brazilian music. And most folktunes from all over the world, I´d say. ABBA is built on the harmonies from Swedish folk music. It gets very evident in the intro to the Wembly concert, "Gammal Fäbodpsalm", "Old pastoral hymn". I did listen to this song when my partner and I ended our relationship. I cried and cried each time I listened to it. I still cry when listen to this song. The emotional connection and her gift to draw people in and allow us to feel her vulnerability makes us feel our own vulnerability through her words. I absolutely love Lara Fabian! Truly the best of the best!
